Can Andare renovate older Annex homes?
Yes. Older Annex homes need careful planning around structure, services, stairs, masonry, layouts, permits, and finishes before construction begins.
Can an Annex house become multiple units?
Some can. Toronto permissions may allow more units, but the property still needs review for exits, separations, services, access, and building-code requirements.
Is underpinning common in the Annex?
It can be where old basements are too low for useful living space. Engineering, excavation sequence, waterproofing, drainage, and the finished plan should be reviewed together.
